Glen’s take on Houston

We pulled into Houston last night and don't have to load in today until 6:00, so we have a little time to relax. Mike Oor and I headed over to the strip mall Yesterday I wasn't so sure about how sweet our Houston show would be. Judging Houston only by the colorful locals near our hotel and the stifling heat, the potential for a night of good times and hard rock seemed far removed. But Houston came out to party with a vengeance and showed us a great time.

After many hours of green room boredom the doors opened and people started showing up. The club had set up Rock Band on a small stage downstairs and we heard some crazy fans doing a great rendition of "Pleasure (Pleasure)" complete with four-part harmonies that put our choir to shame. I love Rock Band, I own it and I have been known to play with my special lady for six hours on a Friday night, but I can rarely move above medium difficulty. It always amazes me to see these people blast through songs on expert without missing a beat. Needless to say we had a blast playing with our new friends before and after the set until the day moon peeked out its head. They showed us some skills but we showed them some moves.

Oh yeah, and the show was mind melting. Fists were pumped, heads were bang, and beer was spit and poured on my head by Bryn (I know where you sleep dude…). It was, by far, the most energetic crowded so far on our little tour across the country. Texas has always been good to us. Needless to say I am very excited about tonight's show in San Antonio.
