The ROad by Bryn - Virginia - It’s sunny.

This is the first time we've started a tour with a "travel day" and I don't know how to feel about it. We spent about 11 hours in the van yesterday and haven't been able to perform yet. In some ways, that's good. Performing tends to get my jeans really sweaty and gross, so I have one more day with a semi-clean pair of pants. (I have 3 pairs on me for this tour... for a month.) On the other hand, the main/only reason we do this is to get out in front of people and rock so this is a bit of a let down to kick everything off.

Last night we pulled into a gas station to fill up and buy some snacks. We noticed that there was another band van in the parking lot. Upon further scrutiny, we also noticed that they had Massachusetts plates. Strange... It turns out that they are the band "Powerglove" who asked us to play a show with them in Boston a few weeks ago. We had another commitment, so we couldn't, but they were really cool guys and it was great to meet them. It's not very common for two Boston bands that don't know each other to meet up at a gas station in Virginia at midnight. They are on a 50 date tour and are even opening for Dragonforce before long. Check them out at here

We're jumping back in the van in the next 10 minutes. I'm out!
